Bethan's Starlight
Wish
Bethan’s wish was to meet the Tweenies as
she loves to watch them on Cbeebies.
Karen very kindly nominated her for a wish
through Starlight Children’s Foundation.
On Wednesday 14th March 2007 we travelled
down to London by train to our very posh
Hotel where we would be staying for the next
2 nights.
First of all on the Wednesday evening we
visited the Lyceum Theatre to see The Lion
King which we all thoroughly enjoyed and
would recommend it to anyone.

Thursday was the big day where
Bethan got to meet the Tweenies
which she didn’t know about. We
firstly met Dominique and Claudia
from starlight.
Dominique had arranged everything
for us and Claudia was going to
accompany us to the Cbeebies studio
later in the day.
Bethan was over the moon when she
turned around in the hotel lobby and
saw Bella, Milo, Fizz and Jake
skipping towards her. |

You could tell by her little face how
excited she was and they played games with
her and ran riot around the hotel. She even
got a bit bossy with them telling them what
to do it was very funny.
Jamie had a great time playing with the
Tweenies as well it was absolutely perfect
for them both.
After having some lunch with Claudia we had
a little kick around in Hyde Park until it
was time to visit the Cbeebies studio to
watch the filming.

Jamie and Bethan met Puy and
Chris who are both Cbeebies
presenters and got to watch them
filming on the brand new
Cbeebies set.
All the staff there were great
and they filmed Jamie and Bethan
and gave them both some
souvenirs to take home.
After we said goodbye to Claudia
we got ready to visit the
Rainforest Café where we were
due to have dinner. It was a
fantastic place the kids loved
all the animals in there and the
staff gave them a big party bag
to take home. |

To end our visit on the Friday we went to
Madam Tussauds where Jamie, Bethan and Nick
got to sit in the Big Brother diary room as
Bethan likes Big Brother.
We had lots of pictures taken with the wax
models who looked very lifelike. My
favourite was Captain Jack Sparrow from
Pirates of the Carribean.
We all had a great time and we wanted to say
thank you to Starlight for making this come
true, Dominique for arranging it all and
Claudia for accompanying us on Bethan’s
special day.
