Lapland Trip 2007

Well with a lot of hard work from family, friends and generous donations we finally managed to raise enough money to take Liam, Bethan and Jamie to Lapland to see Santa.

We travelled to Saariselka where we stayed for 2 nights in a fantastic hotel surrounded by a beautiful landscape of snowy forests.

We all enjoyed taking part in several activities including a husky and reindeer sleigh ride, tobogganing, ice hockey, snowmobiling, skiing, drinking hot berry juice around an open fire and the favourite being the search for Santa and his elves in the forest on a snowmobile. The kids were so excited they sang Christmas songs all the way through the forest until they found Santa in his cottage. Santa had received the letters they had sent and gave all three of them a special present to remember their trip.

This really was a dream come true for all of us and such a fantastic reward for Liam and Bethan after all they have been through with their illness.
