Cancer
Research UK 10k, Althorp |
October
2006 |
|
|
Sam and myself ran our first 10k
at Althorp in Northampton this
year.
It was hard work but again we
made it and were really pleased
with our time of 1 hour 2
minutes.
We raised £185 between us for
Cancer Research UK.

Hydro
Active Challenge, Birmingham |
September
2006 |
|
|
The Womens Hydro Active
Challenge was held in
Birmingham, Liverpool and London
on September 3rd 2006, Sam and
myself ran at Birmingham to
raise money for Leukaemia
Research.
It was a 5k run through
Birmingham and was fantastic, we
had our own cheering support
from Nick, Jamie, Bethan, Karen,
Steve, Helen and Liam.

Air
Ambulance Run, Northampton |
September
2006 |
|
|
We took part in a local run for
the Air ambulance at Billing
Aquadrome in Northampton.
The run was 5k and we had an
excellent time.
Sam and myself raised £50.00,
the kids loved having their
picture taken near the
Helicopter!

London
Bikeathon |
July
2006 |
|
|
In July 2006 we formed a team to
do the London Bikeathon
organised by Leukaemia Research.
We had a team called "Are we
there yet?" which was just under
30 of us and we biked 26.2 miles
around London.
It was a blazing hot day but it
was brilliant and we all managed
to do the course.
Most importantly we raised £5045
for Leukaemia Research and were
awarded the top company
fundraising award which was
awarded by Gary Lineker.

Race
For Life, Silverstone |
June
2006 |
|
In June 2006 Sam, Karen,
Helen, Ella and Andrea ran
the Race for Life at
Silverstone in Northampton
for Liam and Bethan.
Between us all we managed to
raise around £1045 for
cancer research UK.
We had a great time and the
atmosphere was great but
also very sad as to why we
were running it.
We hope to run again next
year.

Run
For The Children, Northampton |
May
2006 |
|
|
In May we did a 3k fun run "run
for the children" which was done
in aid of the charity Children
with Leukaemia.
Bethan was so determined to run
all the way but we had to keep
stopping her for a little while
as we didn't want her to over do
it, she did really well and got
a huge cheer when she finished.
We did this run with Myself,
Nick, Sam, Jamie, Bethan,
Kaitlin-paige and Faith and we
managed to raise £70 between us
for the charity.
