Bikeathon |

The London Bikeathon organised
by Leukaemia Research took place on 15th
July 2007.
We had a team of family, friends
and work colleagues this
year some doing the 52 mile
route and most of us doing the
26 mile route.

Race
For Life |

|
On 13th June we ran the Race For Life for Cancer Research UK
as a team of 12. We managed to
raise a total of £475. The
weather was really bad but we still
managed to take part and enjoy the
day.

Uncle
Ben's 60th Birthday Party |

|
This is to say a massive
thank you to my Uncle
Ben and Auntie Sue
who raised £1065.00
to go to Liam and
Bethan's Lapland fund.
It was Uncle Bens 60th
birthday party and
instead of receiving
gifts he asked all his
guests to donate money
for Liam and Bethan to
go to Lapland.
We had a brilliant time
at the party it was
lovely to see everyone
and also people we
hadn't seen for a long
time since moving from
Bourne to Northampton.
We cant thank you both
enough and also all the
people who kindly
donated money we are so
so grateful.

Run
For The Children |
May 2007 |
|
|
This was our 2nd Run for
the Children in aid of
Children with Leukaemia.
All the kids had a great
time and enjoyed
receiving a medal at the
end for such good
running.
There were lots of other
things at Abington Park
for the kids to do as
well. They went in a
fire engine and a police
motorbike and also got
to practice their rugby
skills.
A good day was had by us
all.

Spring
Fundraising Fete |
May 2007 |

|
The day of our
fundraising fete went
very well with a good
turn out.
We are very pleased to
say we raised £777.14
and we will be sending a
cheque for £400 to
leukaemia Research. The
remainder of the funds
will be going to Liam
and Bethan's Lapland
funds.
We want to say a huge
thank you to everyone
who has helped us out
with the fete and who
donated items for us to
sell to raise all this
money we couldn't have
done it without you all
and we are extremely
grateful.

Flora
London Marathon |
April
2007 |
|
Well we have finally
completed our first
London Marathon after
all those months of
training and we had such
a great time we are
hoping to do it again
next year.
The weather was
extremely warm for the
time of year but we
managed to complete the
whole run in 5 hours 39
minutes and 58 seconds,
a bit slower than we had
hoped so we will look to
improve on that for next
year.
We were interviewed by
Johnathon Edwards for
the BBC it was great
meeting him especially
for Sam who likes him as
much as John Travolta
now.
The crowd were great and
it helped a lot to keep
us going and also the
fact that our friends
and family were waiting
for us near the 25 mile
mark.
All of them said they
had a fantastic day out
watching the runners and
of course all the
celebrity runners they
saw as well.
It was a great feeling
of achievement when we
passed through the
finish line and received
our medals. We are both
very proud.
We are both pleased to
say we have raised more
than we could have hoped
for our chosen charities
Children with Leukaemia
and Spinal Research.

Silverstone Half Marathon |
March
2007 |
|
|
We ran our first Half Marathon
on 18th March 2007 and we were
both very impressed with our kit
bags.
We feel we are now ready for the
London Marathon in April.
Can you spot us in the
crowd?..... no we cant either.
